about

The Record “Alcohol & Bad Decisions” was inspired and based off the New York Era of the band. The conception of
the songs mainly came out of jam sessions that took place in Rivington rehearsal studios and Pizza parties that occurred
weekly in our apartment (5F The Villager). They were all ideas with humming melodies that were interesting enough that Goldwyn would remember them the
next day. The stories were to some extent based on people we encountered at parties or that hung out in our apartment regularly.

After the band split up in February 2015, Goldwyn moved to San Diego where he was completing the mix of his solo project “The Goldwyn Experiment” - “Avenue A,” where he met Christian Cummings, who then became the head Engineer of the Record “Alcohol & Bad Decisions” bringing on session players Dan Bailey (Father John Misty), Dylan Wilson (Ritchie Krotzen) and Jackson Price.

After 30-40 straight days (with the exception of July 4th) the mixes were done and sent over to Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound to add the finishing touch. The songs became alive, so much so that it evolved into cartoon characters that can be seen in the CD sleeve and on our Website.
